About Bill Hudson

Bill Hudson

Bill Hudson comes from a family of watermen who worked the Chesapeake and Chincoteague Bays in Virginia. His inherited love of the sea is evident in his watercolors. Having an aptitude for art as well as science and mathematics, Bill graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He then pursued a 38-year career in aerospace while painting with oils and watercolors as a hobby. His proudest moments came, however, when he married his wife Ellie and they were blessed with eight children. Now retired and with the children grown, Bill is enjoying a second career as a maritime artist. �For me there has always been that attraction to the shore. It is a world different from the...
